More photos that I’ve scanned and liberated from my dusty slide collection. Veronika gave me the last photo. From the resort of Blackcomb we headed northeast through a valley bushwhack and up into some amazing glaciers. 5 days later we got back to our pre-placed car at the Wedge parking lot after doing a circuit of awesome ski lines:James Turner was the prize. Steeeeeep with stable powder . . . unbelievable. Home to a great story from the golden age of Canadian steep skiing, when my friend Ptor was racing the legendary Johnny Foon for the 1st descent back in the 90′s. Passing by Ptor’s tent late in the night, Johnny snagged the coveted line. This picture is from a climbing guidebook and was taken in summer. A lot more snow in mid-winter.
