Bralorne action

By Trevor Hunt Bralorne Comments Off

I’ve explored and skied some fun terrain up in Bralorne, but this was the first ‘interesting’ line I’ve skied.  So close . . . almost in my backyard.sunshine1Veronica and I skinned on bullet proof snow up through steep and dense trees, getting lost only once (my fault), and were greeted by this view.  Smooth alpine meadows, lakes, and a stunning north face with countless ski lines.  We chose the steep dogleg couloir that splits the center of the face.  sunshine3After a brisk and eventful climb up the couloir, the perfectly preserved May powder was beckoning.  Some of the best steep powder turns I have ever made.sunshine7sunshine8sunshine11Sorry for the bad quality shots, but our turns can be seen somewhere in these photos.
